British RAF 2007 Cold Weather Fight Jacket

Originally introduced in the 1960s, the silhouette stayed mostly the same for decades. This newer version from 2007, is manufactured from shower proof gabardine lined with Ventile fabric and interlined with insulating nylon mesh. The new design provided a high degree of warmth whilst not being restrictive, an important aspect was to not impede freedom of movement. A full-length zip fastening which, when closed, is covered by a button over storm flap. A large collar fitted with a closure tab provides warmth and reduces heat loss from the neck aperture. Rear compartment contains the drawcord fastening hood. The wrists have velcro fastening adjusters and a waist drawstring further improves the heat retention properties. An adjustable crotch strap is designed to provide additional protection for the lumber and seat areas in a survival situation. Other features include two large zip fastening breast pockets, sleeve pen pocket and a front affixed D-Ring for the attachment of an oxy-mask or other ancillary equipment. Size 7, approximately XL. Pit to pit 25", top of shoulder to hem 28". Good used condition with some light marks from age and use!
